Rapunzel was done for the Disney Heroine collab at Glam.

Aparantly in 2010 she'll be the next princess. I scoured the web for art and ran across a few peices of concept art. I did alot of work on this doll.

-used various bits of the base set to get the pose I wanted. I wanted her holding her hair and not be so hippy and I didn't want her hand on her hip, so voila! I also augmented her left ear so it'd be really noticable and gave her toes since she, apparantly, doesn't seem to wear shoes.

Then came the base color and her face. The skintone, unlike Eilonwy, isn't one of my usual palettes. It's unique to her. Her eyebrows and eyelashes became a pain but eventually got the look I wanted. Then came all the pink. I used a pink, blurred it to my hearts content then set my eraser on like 20% opacity after i cleaned up the blurs and went to town. This is a rare doll with blush since I usually don't use it but she's really pink in the concept art, so I said why not.

Her freckles were made on a layer beneath the blush. I used pink, blurred them and erased until they were subtly noticable. It came out really well.

The dress was probably the easiest part of the entire thing x.x

OMG her hair. It took hours just to draw it! then her couils ended up being well under her feet so i had to move them up and make it mesh with everything else. Then the shading >.< I shaded it in sections, but eventually it all got done and I'm basically happy with her
